The elaborate mixed-media paintings of Tooneyverse depict the artist’s influences and experiences within his community of Los Angeles and New York.  Displaying dichotomies such as inner versus outer experience is the focal point of his contemporary critique.  “I am here on earth to create fossils of my culture by archiving my perception and experiences,” the artist explains.  His visual dialogues direct their criticism of class struggle while representing an uplifting stand point.

Tooneyverse was born in 1988 and currently resides bicoastal between Los Angeles and New York.
